WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL~
As principal of Schalm and Kenwood Elementary Schools, it is my pleasure to welcome each
and every family back for another great year. We are eagerly waiting to fill our hallways and
classrooms with students and their energy, enthusiasm, and anticipation for learning. As the
days ahead approach us, we can’t help but get excited for another great school year!! We hope
you are enjoying your days of summer and getting prepared for a new beginning as the
2022-2023 school year gets underway.
It is our mission to help every student feel successful by creating an atmosphere where students
feel safe, connected, and a part of the Clawson School Family. We strive to ensure each student
is working to their potential and focus on academic as well as social and emotional growth. Our
staff dedicates themselves to create a classroom environment where students are able to actively
engage in learning. They utilize research based best practices and continuously analyze data to
set goals and determine student needs. We look forward to partnering with you in order for each
and every student to be their best self.
We hope you will find filling out the back to school forms online easy to use and more
convenient. We also hope you will find our website to be a helpful tool for information such as;
classroom supply lists, links to teacher websites, lunch menus, school-wide newsletters, and hope
you will feel comfortable using this format to pay for field trips and lunches. Additionally, we
encourage you to become active in our PTOs (Parent Teacher Organization), the PTO is a
wonderful way for you to share ideas and support the mission of the school.
I am honored to serve as principal of Kenwood and Schalm Elementary Schools. It is truly a
privilege to work in a community where families, students, and staff work together in order to
build positive relationships to support academic, social, and emotional growth. We look forward
