Non-Homestead Operating Millage Renewal

Dear Clawson Community,

A Non-Homestead Millage Renewal ballot proposal will be brought before the voters of Clawson at a May 7, 2019 election. I am providing this factual information of the ballot proposal in anticipation of questions from the community. The revenue from this type of millage is used to support all programs in the Clawson Public School District, and it does NOT increase taxes on homeowners.

A Non-Homestead Millage is currently in place, and this Non-Homestead Millage proposal will “replace” the current Non-Homestead Millage for a period of 10 years. Again, this millage does NOT increase taxes on homeowners in Clawson.

We have created a Brochure and Frequently Asked Questions guide to help you understand this Non-Homestead Millage Renewal and how the revenue is used.  We will also be holding community meetings so that you may ask us questions in person. For more information, please see links below.

Tim Wilson, Superintendent

Clawson Public Schools

PLEASE VOTE on May 7, 2019
